As a Rastafari Roots & Culture Selector, DJ Ras Imon's commitment to the culture that created the music he plays, allows him to dj at a variety of events and venues.  With 25 plus years of experience, his adaptability has granted him the skill set to perform with controllers, cdj's, and turntables.  DJ Ras Imon's tireless and infectiously energetic performing style consist of skillful song selection, with seamless blending and mixing that will keep any audience actively engaged.  With proficiency and exceptional technique, he has "turned up and turned out" many clubs, festivals, and concerts.

DJ Ras Imon established the first roots and culture radio show at Georgia Southern University, which eventually led to him hosting and organizing a variety of events on and around the college campus. From this experience combined with his devotion to the Rastafari livity and spreading the message & teaching of Rastafari through reggae music, DJ Ras Imon developed a deep love for the art of musical selecting and hosting musical events and radio shows. So, he began to sharpen his skills by hosting house parties almost every week at his college apartment, which taught him the essential skill of reading the crowd. From the spark that was lit by his introduction to the music scene, a wildfire began to build within DJ Ras Imon. He committed himself to becoming one of the best Reggae Music Selectors of the modern day , and he has indeed done that. Over the years, his expanding talent has landed him opportunities such as opening for the Internationally acclaimed Sizzla Kalonji, Rastafari Icon Mutabaruka, Grammy-Nominated Reggae Artist Etana, Reggae Sensation Dre Island, Soulful Reggae Artists Jah 9, Reemah, and Lutan Fyah, Spragga Benz, Junior Reid,Tanto Metro & Devonte, Pressure Busspipe, Don Yute, Yaadcore, along with many other Rising Reggae Stars.  DJ Ras Imon also founded The Haile Selasie I Roots Reggae Festival, Atlanta in 2015, which is an annual celebration which combines the African principles of community and oneness along with elements of Rastafari culture & livity, along with sound system culture with music as the vehicle for the message of Truths & Rights. Also with LIVE shows on social media and online radio LIVE broadcasts,  DJ Ras Imon has built an extensive online following, which spans the four corners of the Earth.
